How do I know if I need to clean my air conditioner?
It is very easy to know if you should clean your wall air conditioner. First, if you neglected to clean the filters in your air conditioner, it is likely that your coil is already dirty. To check this, you need to remove your filters and look at the condition of the coil, you can also look at where the air comes out to see if your fan is dirty. If your coil or fan (roller) is dirty, you should clean your wall air conditioner.
What are the risks of a poorly maintained air conditioner?

What are the steps for a good cleaning?

Before cleaning your wall-mounted air conditioning system, be sure to turn off the power and disconnect the power supply.
Cleaning the evaporator (indoor unit)
Clean the indoor unit with a vacuum cleaner, scrub the unit with warm, soapy water, then dry with a soft, clean cloth.
During a period of normal operation, the filter included in the device should be cleaned every two weeks of use. If dust accumulates on the filter, the air flow will be considerably reduced, which will lower the operating efficiency at will increase the noise of and the energy consumption of the device. The dust must be eliminated either by a vacuum cleaner, either by washing in a solution of mild detergent and lukewarm water. If you are cleaning the filter, be sure to let it dry completely before reinstalling it in your appliance
If your device has a plasma filter, an indicator light will notify you when it needs to be cleaned. To clean it, soak it in warm soapy water. The lifespan of plasma filters is 6 to 8 years.
Cleaning the condenser (outdoor unit)
